Clinical Practicum
Students will select clinical practicum experiences according to the desired option to develop clinical skills in that area of interest. All students are required to complete two on-campus and two off-campus clinical practicum rotations. The number of hours needed by students may vary depending on undergraduate clinical experiences. At least 325 clock hours must be completed at the graduate level.
Clinical Practicum experiences are scheduled only in sites that are approved by the Department. Students are responsible for transportation to off-campus clinical practicum sites and other community learning experiences and must purchase personal liability insurance. In addition, students are responsible for meeting the health and criminal record clearances established by the practicum site. Practicum sites may require proof of immunization such as poliomyelitis, rubella, and hepatitis and a physical examination, including a tuberculin test, as well as health insurance.
On-campus clinical rotations are completed at the UNH Speech-Language-Hearing Center. In addition, students have the opportunity to complete a rotation at the Krempels Center as part of their on-campus clinical rotation.
