Research
The department has several research areas with complementary strengths. These research areas are supported by the department’s clinic, the Speech-Language-Hearing Center, and Audiology Services. Research on clinical supervision and clinical writing are also departmental strengths.
Research interests in the department include:
• Augmentative and alternative communication
• Assistive technology with a particular focus on clients with developmental disabilities
• Language acquisition and language and learning disorders
• Stuttering and early intervention
• Aural rehabilitation
• Infant hearing screening
• Central auditory nervous system function
