Services for UNH Students
Speech-Language Therapy Services for UNH Students
The Speech-Language-Hearing Center provides evaluation and therapy services for students who may demonstrate a broad range of speech- language communication disorders and differences.
Therapy for Speech-Language Differences
Many of our international students use the services of the Speech-Language-Hearing Center to help with accent reduction and to make adjustments for language differences that will improve their communication skills. For graduate students in teaching roles or for any speakers of English as a second language, the Center’s speech therapy services can make a big difference in a student’s success at UNH.
Therapy for Speech-Language Disorders
During the school year, the Speech-Language–Hearing Center provides treatment to UNH students who demonstrate a wide variety of communication challenges and disorders. The Strategies for College Learning program, offered in the spring, teaches skills and provides therapy for students with Asperger’s Syndrome and/or TBI or for those that need additional support to enhance academic performance.
Therapy sessions are generally one hour in length and are scheduled 3 times weekly over a 12-week semester program. For a complete therapy schedule for fall and spring semesters, click here.
