Students in good academic standing with undergraduate degrees in any related field are encouraged to apply. If a student's undergraduate program does not include an introductory statistics course or the equivalent, successful completion of such a course is required before beginning graduate work.

The applicant is responsible for completing the UNH Graduate School’s on-line application, located at http://www.gradschool.unh.edu/apply.php, and paying the required fee. The applicant is also responsible for ensuring that all supporting materials, including answers to the MFT questions, letters of recommendations, test scores, and transcripts, are sent directly to the Graduate School.

Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation. These letters should address particular strengths that the applicant will bring to the program and should evaluate the applicant's potential in their chosen field. 

In lieu of the UNH Graduate School personal statement, MFT applicants must answer the questions listed below and include them with their submitted application (either online or in hard copy). Responses to the MFT questions should be submitted in numbered format, and should address each question separately and explicitly.

The department does not require the GRE for admission.

Please note that applications are not usually reviewed until all supporting materials are received.  The deadline for submission of all MFT application materials is February 15th.

Applicants who are considered for admission will be invited to interview by the admissions committee. A personal interview is required, although a conference call may be acceptable under unusual circumstances. In either event, all expenses will be the responsibility of the applicant.
