Northeast Passage

Northeast Passage (NEP) is a service/research program of UNH's Recreation
Management & Policy Department and an Affiliate of Disabled
Sports, USA. NEP works to create an environment where individuals
with disabilities can experience life and recreation with as much
freedom of choice and independence as their non-disabled peers.
Nationally recognized as a leader in innovative recreation programs
for person with disabilities, NEP provides our students with a broad
array of excellent practical learning experiences.

CoachSmartNH
CoachSmartNH is a youth sports education program designed by the University of New Hampshire and
supported and endorsed by the New Hampshire Recreation and Park Association. The program’s
objective is to provide volunteer coaches and youth sport leaders with the tools, resources and
support to enhance coaching and leadership effectiveness. CSNH is a partnership between faculty
in the Department of Recreation Management and Policy and the Department of Kinesiology at the University of
New Hampshire, as well as the New Hampshire Recreation and Parks Association and participating communities
throughout the state. Our project team consists of sport development experts, sport psychologists,
community recreation directors, and youth sports leaders.
