VISION AND STRATEGIC INTENTIONS
Vision
We envision the College of Health and Human Services as a dynamic academic enterprise integral to the mission of the University, committed to excellence in teaching, engaged in interdisciplinary work and integrated with its distinctive disciplines to develop new knowledge, prepare the workforce for the future, and foster the health and well-being of society.
Intentions
- Promote and support the College’s teaching mission by integrating research and service with teaching.
- Reflectively engage with internal and external communities to identify emerging trends and needs in health and human services and to address those needs that are consistent with the vision and priorities of the College.
- Promote and support an infrastructure that fosters an interdisciplinary culture that becomes the motivating factor in the evolution of the College.
- Promote and support an ethos and infrastructure that cultivates scholarship and research among College faculty and students.
- Actively communicate with the larger community regarding the need for and impact of the College of Health and Human Services.
