UNH CHHS : Social Work Display for Mental Illness Awareness Week from CHHS Video, UNH on Vimeo.

What is Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW)? MIAW is an annual observance sponsored by the National Alliance on Mental Illness to focus attention on the high incidence of mental illness in America. The purpose of the observance is to educate the public and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness.

To bring awareness to the statistic of 1 in 4 adults in American being diagnosed with a mental illness, the students in the department coordinated and set up a display on the great lawn of the UNH campus to help educate the community to the issues of mental health.
