The UNH Department of Social Work places students in field internships with schools, hospitals, United Way, counseling agencies, and many other organizations throughout the region. Here are just a few of those community agencies:

Arbour Counseling, Becket Family of Services, Casey Family Services, CLM Behavioral Health Services, Child & Family Services, Community Partners, Dana Farber, DCYF, Elliot Hospital, Families in Transition, Greater Manchester Mental Health Center, Keystone Hall, United Way, and Wentworth Douglass Hospital

In addition, our department has developed an off-campus service learning program at the McConnell Center Community Campus in nearby Dover, NH. The McConnell Center, similar to settlement houses of the 19th and 20th centuries, is a multi-service center that offers a range of educational, health, and human services in an accessible urban environment. In addition to the UNH Social Work Department, participating agencies include: Dover Human Services, HUB Family Services, Dover Adult Learning Center, Head Start, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
